Do we need permission to extend?
- Many proposed alterations do require planning permission but there are exceptions and many extensions can be built under 'permitted development' the best way to find out is by contacting your local authority planning office and they will explain what is necessary, or give us a call we're happy to help.
- Most people tend to instruct an Architect/Surveyor who will take charge of all the red tape once they have decided to develop, they will also design the project for you. CLS can take care of all your planning & building Control requirements either in house or with one of the companies/services we work closely with.
- In some cases you may be able to submit a building notice and build immediately and again we can advise you here.
- The usual reason for extending your home is to create extra family space, this could be adding new bedrooms, en-suites, bathrooms, dining rooms, utility rooms and kitchens. Whatever your project we’ll work with you from design to the completed job to make sure that you get exactly what you want, and importantly when you want it.
